Profile

Bio Questionnaire:

1. Name: Randy Wilson

2. Date of Birth: 11/04/65

3. Nationality: American / Texan

4. Eye Color: Green

5. Hair Color: Blond

6. What irritates you? Aggressively rude people, people who are hypocritical, standing in line, maudlin country music… the list goes on and on.

7. Current hair style? Disheveled.

8. If you could pick one person, book, movie and CD to take with you to a desert Island, what would they be? My wife, Anthology of American Poetry, Can I trade the movie for another CD? and La Mer- Claude Debussy.

9. What thing are you most fond of? My wife. If it has to be a “thing” it would be my guitar or my laptop computer. I’m not big on things.

10. Who inspired you most when you were growing up? Bob Dylan was my hero when I was a teenager. Not just his music, but the way he invented a complete persona that was cool and hip and completely without basis in reality. I’ve always felt that one of my greatest talents was telling entertaining lies about myself.

11. Do you have pets? Not anymore. I used to have cats. They each died in turn and we haven’t gotten anymore. I’ll probably get another pet when the kids get a little older. I’m thinking about a small dog.

12. How do you spend your free time? Playing with my kids, editing for the Open Directory Project, playing the guitar, writing poetry, playing Runescape.

13. Have you ever smoked? Yes, for 15 years. Camels, Lucky Strikes, or Marlboro Reds.

14. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Water. I used to drink triple lattes but I don’t drink anything with caffeine anymore. My doctor says caffeine makes me nervous.

15. Have you ever done illegal drugs? More than I can possibly recall.

16. What is your favorite drug? I’m not taking any serious drugs anymore. But I used to be very fond of LSD.

17. Do you do push-ups? I work out nearly every day because I’m trying to loose about 50 pounds. I do planks which are like pushups without the pushing.

18. What do you think of hot dogs? I’m a hot dog snob. I like Nathan’s and Hebrew National. I won’t eat any others. I like them with relish, mustard, ketchup and sport peppers.

19. What is your favorite curse word? “Cocksucker”. I know it’s totally non P.C. and I’m not proud of it, but it’s the truth.

20. Name the last 3 things you have bought? A ham and egg sandwich, a book on configuring Cisco Pix routers, gasoline.

21. Name five drinks you regularly drink. water, milk, wine, whiskey, tequila

22. Least favorite place to be? Sitting in traffic.

23. What do you wear to bed? Tee shirt, boxers.

24. Do you have any Tattoos? Yes. Three. Three lizards, a Chinese symbol, and one that looks like a cave drawing of a person.

25. What song do you sing in the shower? Recently, “I’ll Fly Away”, sometimes “Oh Death”

26. What did you fear was going to get you at night as a child? A giant bird. In my nightmares, a bird with huge wings that blocked the sun would fly down at me snatch me up. I was paralyzed and couldn’t move. The blood would be flowing into my eyes and it would seal them shut. It would fly into the sky and drop me. I would usually wake up when it dropped me.

27. Worst injury you've ever had? Knocked out six teeth in a bicycle accident. Broke my lower jaw and shattered my upper, peeled most of the skin of the front right side of my body.

28. What is your favorite candy? Plain M&Ms.

29. What song do/did you want played at your funeral? “Lord, don’t move my mountain”.

30. If you end up in hell, what do you expect to be playing on the jukebox there? “Achy Breaky Heart”

31. What are you proudest of? My two, perfectly wonderful, sons.
