Profile

After seeing another editor's profile when conducting a search on Google, I figured I may as well throw something up here and talk a little bit more about myself. My name is Mike and I am, as my nickname eludes to, passionate about wine. About 3 years ago I realized that wine was something special and began to read everything I could about grapes, wine and the winemaking process. Today, I live in San Francisco with my soon to be fiance who is also very connected to wine. Aside from trips to the major wine producing regions of California including Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley, Paso Robles and Santa Barbara, I like to travel all over the country. I have driven across the country solo 5 times, once in less than 2 days. Sometimes I have issues. :)

In addition to being passionate about wine, I am also very interested in cars, road cycling, and just about anything dealing with the outdoors. This is starting to sound like a cheesy personal ad. I grew up in Southern California in a small town called Los Angeles and have spent the past 14 years in San Diego where I attended college. I worked for nearly 10 years involved in San Diego real estate brokerage and investment and am still involved in real estate today on the finance side.
