Profile

My goal at ODP is to help increase the quantity and quality of local and neighboring Kentucky categories.

Originally from Southern Illinois, I have resided in Kentucky since 1990. I studied and researched the state of Kentucky for several years. (The place does grow on you after a while.) All this research and lots of statewide links is what led me to become a DMOZ editor.

I own and operate a website design and hosting company. I am self-taught. My curricula? The internet and a few good books. Websites that I own or design/host are listed in my bookmarks. I am very active in our local and neighboring Chamber of Commerce and community. I've also been speaking on business & technology subjects such as computer hardware/software, website design and management, search engine optimization, and online marketing.

I'm the mother of 5, ages 15 to 27, and grammy to 3. We are an unschooling (a method of homeschooling which allows each child to focus on their own interests and involves lots of hands on activities, independent reading and real life) family. I enjoy reading and writing. Walking has become part of my regular routine; it's good for the mind as well as the body.
