I have been "list mom" (I hate that term) for a professional mailing list of 1000 paperhangers for about seven years. It started out with me and two subscribers and it got a good reputation and took off. I'm semi-retired so I have some time to devote to this endeavor. We are currently fixing up our one hundred year old southern antebellum home. This part of my life is not only fun but sometimes frustrating. The fun part is going to antique auctions the frustrating part is painting. I hate painting.
I love doing research so DMOZ is a nice fit. Sigh. I was not born with an artistic or muscial gene in my "pool" but I do have the ability to read fast. In my next life I'm going to come back with all of those talents that somehow I got cheated out of this time around. I have spoken to God about this and She assured me that it would be done.
My favorite type of vacation is cruising. It has everything I could want -- someone doing the driving taking me to wonderful places, cleaning my room twice a day and feeding me wonderful meals with no bill to pay at the end of the meal. Plus it is done on the ocean. The worse part of cruising is coming home.
I'm old enough to remember when no one had a television let alone a computer. I grew up in the shadow of Cape Canaveral and watched all the early space probes get off the ground. I remember when Cocoa Beach, Florida didn't have a single condo in it.
P.S. I have the most beautiful grandchildren in the world.
