Profile

I have been involved in the telecommunication messaging field since around 1990. My background is in voice processing technologies such as voice messaging, auto attendants, and IVRs. Due to the necessity for integration and interoperability I was exposed to and gained experience with many other messaging technologies along the way.

Over the years I have worked as a software developer and created many different products that were used by messaging service providers. I eventually founded a company that developed voice platforms that were private labeled for resale with Class 4/5 (soft)switches for CLEC's.

Along the way I have watched quite a few service providers grow for many years, and I have seen some that close during the first year. The single most important lesson I have learned from watching them is that even though their products are based on technology, it is the "service" component that matters most.
