Profile

I grew up at Germany's North Sea coast and studied in Hamburg, Germany. I have been working in the US since 1999 as a scientist in the areas of plant cellular and molecular biology and computational biology.

As a hobby, I have been active in fandom based on Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern® book series since 2000.
