Profile

I am a children's librarian and Assistant Branch Manager for the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library. I have 22 years of library experence. I bought my first home computer (a Kaypro-4) in 1983 and got hooked on e-mail right away.

I have also been involved in cryonics since 1977, including 4 years as President of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation, the largest non-profit cryonics group in the world. I am currently an advisor to Alcor's Board of Directors. I try very hard to keep the cryonics editing on ODP neutral for the different organizations involved.

My interest in cryobiology and cryogenics goes back to childhood. My father was one of the first practitioners of artificial insemination for cattle, using sperm frozen in liquid nitrogen. I would travel with him to breeding service open houses, where there would often be liquid nitrogen demonstrations.
