Born and raised in the thick of 1960's San Francisco, I have seen too many swept under by the dark unseemly side of the modern New Age movement.

And there is real value produced within the movement, every year.

A crucial key is keeping our power of independent thought while too many New Age groups and leaders would have us: stop thinking, stop questioning, and settle for mentally dull, emotionally unreal "alternative" authority.

Fearless curiosity is absolutely essential in winning freedom from spiritual tyranny.
