Sole (pronounced So-lay) is the Italian word for sun or sunshine. However I pronounce my name sol as in your eternal soul or the sole of your foot.
I started to edit here because I was looking for some more sites on a topic, and I found the ODP was missing some of my favorites. I decided to share my collection. Since joining, I've tried helping out in several interesting categories and found that there's lots to learn, and many interesting and appreciative people to work with.
Why not join us? It doesn't have to be one of these categories. There are thousands to choose from.
About the ODP
The Open Directory Project makes its data freely available to all those who will follow the rules of its license. There are many sites that use the ODP data, but there is only one ODP.
How to Submit a Site to the Open Directory Project
IF (you have a finished web site, without broken links, still not listed in ODP) THEN
- READ the ODP Guidelines; and see if whether your site is appropriate for submission to the ODP
- LOOK to make sure it isn't already listed here. (If it is and you think it's in the wrong place use the "Update Listing" link on the page it is on to suggest a change.)
- FIND the most appropriate category for your site;
- WRITE Your Site Title AND your site description; //Please don't mention it's the best, we know that.
- SUBMIT your site to this chosen category;
- WAIT (Checking the ODP every month or so is optional.)
