Born in Europe and for the last 10 years in the US there are quite mixed roots which all go back to the open waters of this planet. As active boat / Hovercraft -builder my main concern is a safe cruising of the beautiful scenery along our coasts and river's. The possibility of navigating even the shallow waters and mud flats open up new boundaries and possibilities in travel and exploring. One of my main hobbies is still offshore cruising.
When the ODP started I saw the opportunity to finally help shape a search engine where pages with content can get their exposure besides the wonderful faked pages of keywords.
Before the Internet opened its fiber optic lines you were able to download information from the major universities - at that time you have to pay for each second a small amount - surfing the web like today was not the case - but the benefits were bigger than today with a lot of page but not a lot more content. Still it is the biggest library on this planet -
