Hi, I'm Sandy Fauver !

I am a 56 year old wife, mother of 3 and grandmother of 4. I was born into an auto racing family. My Dad, Bud Green, raced from 1936 to 1958 in sprint cars and midgets. He later went into limited hydro racing. In 1977 my Dad and I built an 1936 sprint car with a Winfield engine and traveled up and down the West Coast with it and a group called Golden Wheels until 1988 when he passed away.

Dad put me in a 1/4 midget, in 1958, when I was 11 and I've been driving race cars ever since. I have raced go-karts, stock cars, dragsters and sprint cars.

I worked on a pit crew for 2 years at the Indy 500 and was a crew member for 5 years with NASCAR.

My husband, Rod and I owned a sprint car team, Fauver Racing, for 19 years. We have raced all over the US and Canada. Two years ago we sold our business in Seattle, bought a 40' motor home, packed up everything and went to follow our dream. My husband is now a full time, paid, Crew Chief for Sprint Cars. So far we have lived in Sacramento, CA, Yuba City, CA and now we are in Reno, Nevada. Needless to say, we are loving life and glad we did it. It's much better in life to enjoy what you do than making a lot of money!!!

Other hobbies I have are sewing, crafts, reading and our 2 cats. One of them, Cymba, is a Bengal by breed, which is part Asian Leopard. She actually watches the races, doesn't mind the noise at all and loves all the attention she gets when she is in the pits at a race.
