I've been a British Baptist minister since 1994, having spent 15 years up to my armpits in farm animal veterinary practice. I'm self taught on computers and the internet, and recently acquired a broadband connection which has made my internet addiction worse. I'm a Baptist because firstly I'm a Christian, and secondly because the European/British Baptist way of doing church suits my understanding of the Christian faith - bottom up, non-hierarchical, non-clerical church government. independent of the state but definitely involved in society. I have firm beliefs but don't feel that is incompatible with tolerance of other people whose beliefs differ from mine. I enjoy editing my category, as it's small enough for me to know a bit about most of the sites in there.
