I was drawn to the ODP because of its audacious and lofty goal: creating a volunteer-edited directory of sites that was based solely on useful content untainted by any monetary considerations. I am still intrigued by the concept and impressed by the degree of support available in the ODP community to new editors such as myself. There is much more I need to learn but what began as simple curiosity about the project has grown to a commitment to try to become a useful contributor.
The red eft, notophthalmus viridescens viridescens, is the land form of the red-spotted newt and is the totemic emblem of our web design business here in the hills of West Virginia.
