Profile

I have lived in Gustavus, Alaska since 1987. I am a sea kayak guide, a computer consultant, and technical staff for Glacier Bay National Park, Gustavus Community Network (non-profit ISP), and Gustavus Public Library.

Gustavus and its surroundings are my main reasons for being an ODP editor; this directory is the simply the best way to list and share web sites related to the places that I care about. So I use ODP to strengthen my local community.

At the same time, the directory project is fascinating, challenging, and inspiring in itself. What a great bunch of people working selflessly together to build something for everyone's benefit! I limit my involvement here because my main interests take all my time, but I am still proud -- and humbled -- to be a part of this endeavor, however small.
