I poked around the internet in 1996/1997 but was annoyed at the disorganization. I wished I had the programming skills to set up a database to allow individuals to categorize websites themselves, and began telling all my programmer friends to make a "people's index". After a hectic three years during which I got married, changed jobs, moved cross-country, and had a son (boy is he busy!), I finally find that I have spare time again. Discovered someone had listened ;) and made DMOZ. Whoohoo! So here I am!
