Dr. Grohol is a well-known and long-time resource reviewer for a number of Web sites and Internet resources, dating back to the pre-Web days of 1991. His own sites have garnered many awards for their outstanding design and content, and he is proud to be a member of the Open Directory Project and a strong supporter of the Open Source movement. He wrote the Personal Open Directory as a way of allowing individuals to host ODP data on their own site without having to parse the huge RDFs.
