Profile

Ronald M. Etters has been an ODP editor since May of 1999. His biography is included in the national biographical publications - "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who in American Law." He is married with three children (23, 22 & 19) and three grandchildren.

For the past 12 years, Ron has been a member of the Senior Board of Editors of a national legal publication associated with labor-management relations under the Railway Labor Act (1991-present). In 2003, he was elected to the Fairfax County Republican Committee, which covers political activities in that Virginia county of aproximately one million residents. He currently is serving as a Republican Precinct Captain.

From 1980 to 2002, Mr. Etters served as the General Counsel of the National Mediation Board, a neutral federal agency that is responsible for the resolution of labor-management disputes in the airline and railroad industries. He was named the Employee of the Year by the NMB in December 2001 and subsequently was presented the Chairman's Award in 2002 for his NMB service.

From 2000 until his retirement in 2002, Mr. Etters was the Director (CEO) of a dispute resolution center at the George Mason University School of Law (Arlington, Virginia). He has taught university courses associated with dispute resolution at the Georgetown University Law Center, American University and the George Mason University School of Law.
