Volunteer editall editor dedicated to helping grow and maintain the Open Directory Project (ODP), the most relevant major directory on earth (IMHO).

My goals are to ensure that the categories I am involved in editing are filled with relevant sites, and that my descriptions of the sites are accurate, of good quality and follow the ODP editing guidelines.

I generally explore each site I evaluate thoroughly and keep site descriptions short and accurate. Visitors to any category should be able to find the site or sites that best suit their needs with ease, based solely on titles and descriptions.

I WILL list sites that offer quality original content that is relevant to the category. Quality content beats pretty graphics EVERY time.

I determine whether to list a site based upon how relevant it is to the category and if it is in compliance with the editing guideline standards of the ODP.

Quality sites are frequently submitted to categories where they are not relvant or appropriate. When this happens, I will seek an appropriate category and forward the site so it can be evaluated there.

Sites are sometimes submitted with different URLS but that feature identical content. If identical or virtually identical sites are submitted to a category with content that is appropriate and relevant to the category, only one will be listed.

I WILL remove a site if; it is not relevant, it does not contain any quality content (or offers no content), serves up content that is not original (e.g. cut and paste content from other sites/sources) or that fail to comply with the editing guideline standards of the ODP found at: http://dmoz.org/add.html
