Profile

I own Sir Eldren's Maille and enjoy viewing other's sites who sell and make chain mail. I've learned much about mail in this way, and I hope to create a listing that will lead to websites with more information than a master mailer would know what to do with.

I began making mail in August, 1994, finishing my first coif about 2 months later and my first shirt in October. I had only one type and size of ring, and I thought it was great! In 1998, after surfing the internet, I found that you could use different metals, sizes of rings, and weaves. This information absolutely blew my mind, and I began to experiment with anything I could get my hands on, even pipe cleaners (which I'm still frustrated over).

It is my goal to further my knowledge of mail and to share this with others. I would like a directory that puts the most popular search engines to shame when you are looking for information on chain mail.
