Profile

I might be classed as a "deep geek", having spent a good part of the last 20 years in front of a computer. I've been part of online culture since the early 80's. At various times I've been a BBS sysop, an irc channelop (SOP) on several different nets, a mud coder and administrator, and a conference organizer.

Professionally I run a web consulting and design business, specializing in interactive sites that support online communities, and am currently organizing SIDNA - the Society of Internet Domain Name Appraisers, Brokers and Professionals.

I'm an At Large member of ICANN, and a voting member of the Domain Names Supporting Organization General Assembly.
