Hi everyone

I was born in 1952 in the Lincolnshire Fens in the East of England and I’ve lived here ever since.

Lisa (my wife) and I have spent the majority of our lives in horticulture – selling “Starter Plants” to garden centres. We sold the business a year or two ago and then developed a range of jigsaw puzzle accessories that we now sell both retail and wholesale.

We have no children of our own but we have a mass of nephews and nieces who we adore. We live way out in the middle of nowhere with our two black Labradors who completely dominate our lives.

I was accepted as an editor in the ODP in June 2007 and I’m anxious to do whatever I can to help. I’ve got no formal qualifications but if ever you want to know something about jigsaws, bedding plants or the way us English consistently litter our writing with extra “u’s” (in words like favourite) then I would be only too pleased to tell you what I know!
