Profile

I am an electrical fitter by trade, but spent most of my working life in sales and marketing of metal building and agricultural products. I have now gone the full circle and am back into playing with things electrical; mostly computer and IT related.

I've played all sorts of sports at one time or another. Got a few judo belts and shot thousands of ends (that's what you do when playing archery). Raising five children and operating dad's taxi kept me fairly busy after that. When the kids left home I re-built an old sailboat that keeps me occupied on summer weekends.

My interest in the Internet led me to the ODP in 2000. Editing at dmoz has become a fascinating and absorbing hobby. It is a great way to learn about the Internet, how it works and what it contains. It is also a lot of fun being part of a team and working with fellow volunteers from all around the world.
