Matt became a born-again Christian July 1991. He has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio since 2000. He graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2000 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling. He owns and operates his private practice "New Reflections Counseling, Inc." in Lebanon, Ohio.

Matt is married and has 2 daughters. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois in Urbana.
