Profile

Trained in UNIX on a VAX via a VT-100 terminal (it was all upper case in those days). First computer a MS-DOS PC because I couldn't afford a Mac (thank you Mr Scully). Learnt COBOL. Forgot COBOL. Learnt 'C'. Worked on IBM RT's - worth it just for the 'Sailboat' jokes. Worked on Sun-OS and Solaris for many happy years. Opened a Mac-based internet cafe, later transmogrified into an Mac-based 'web services bureau'. Fell for Java. Caught the Linux bug. Looking forward to BSD-based MacOS X.
