Hello! My name is Adam Tolbert. I am 19 years old and live in Smyth County, Virginia in the United States of America. Some of the things I am interested in are computers, Internet, web site design, history, government, and politics.
Computers
Computers are very interesting machines. You can do things that were impossible to do 50 years ago. Computers used to be so big they took up buildings. Now you can carry one in your pocket.
Internet
The Internet is a great thing. It is changing the way people communicate and work. E-Mail is a great invention, it may be even better than the telephone. Every time you get a business card from someone it is sure to have an E-Mail address on it now in addition to phone numbers.
Web Site Design
I very much like designing web sites. I currently maintain a few sites. My personal web site is located at adamtolbert.com.
History
I am interested in history very much. It is amazing to read about what people have done many years ago. I am currently on the Social Studies academic team at my school. The team goes to other schools and competes against them.
Government & Politics
I have an interest in government and politics. I have had the opportunity to meet some elected officials like the Governor of Virginia, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, and a former Virginia governor who is now a U.S. Senator. I would like to run for an elected office one day.
