Profile

Hello World,

I am a volunteer and just like many others here I have some other responsibilities which you might have guessed are of higher priorities. So, please do not expect too much from me.

I live in Bath, UK, a City of World Heritage. Things are a bit pricey here, but all its beauty are priceless.

In 1986, I started using PC with 8086 processor for learning BASIC and COBOL programming. Now, I am only using Perl with RegEx for text manipulation in relation to my work as a researcher.

I am a born muslim, just like many other Indonesians. Have you been to Indonesia by the way? Just as its name, (India + Nesia, meaning islands of India), Indonesia has thousands of beautiful islands.

Bali is probably not the most beautiful one, but its Hindu people are so artistic (in painting, music, dancing, carving, architecture, etc.) attracting millions of tourists from all over the world.

Balinese are originated from Javanese who migrated hundreds years ago from the most populated Java island, as the last Hindu kingdom in East Jave collapsed. That is why they speak Javanese with Indian strong accents.

Probably, the word Borobudur rings a bell in you. Yes, one of the world heritage buidings, a gigantic Buddist temple, is located in Central Java. Some even believe that this temple is one of the Seven Wonders.

With the past history of being Hindus and Buddists, I believe that the Indonesian humble muslims should be used as an image of the true muslims - a profile which is far from those horrible Hollywood's image of muslims being terorists.

Nevertheless, instead of making your own different images of the true muslims, why not grab a holy Qur'an (the Koran, as you might have known) in your local library and start fulfilling your own curiosity of a way of life called itself the Peace (al-Islam in Arabic).

There is no promise of you will be enlightned right away, as not everyone is in the state of one's humanity (fitrah in Arabic). But, if you use your common sense, better off your best subject of study (e.g. Math, Anatomy, Physics, Astronomy, Literature, etc.) the chance is infinite that you will witness the divinity of the Qur'an with all of your heart.

Well, that's from me.

Wassalamu'alaikum (Peace upon you all) Bara Ampera
