The Business category continues to grow and change, while maintaining the highest quality. Since the last newsletter, Business has remained relatively clear of reds and update requests. This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication of the top notch editors we have in the ODP! In addition, numerous category moves and changes within Business have kept all of our editors very busy. From the creation of a relatively small category called Cooperage in Food and Related Products, to major changes in Materials - a tremendous effort is being made each day by our editors! Thank you!
We have added over 45 new editors in the past 3 months. Their enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication is helping to keep Business the premier category of the ODP. I have had the pleasure of working with many of these new editors on a personal basis and would like to extend my sincere thanks to them for their accomplishments.
On a special note: I was reminded that we reached a milestone in Textiles and Nonwovens when this category recently topped 12,000 listings. Way to go!!
There are plenty of ongoing projects and discussions in the forums to keep us all busy. We will continue to clean up other identified ontology issues and add quality sites to the directory. irmaar reminds me that there is big restructuring going on in Music, and more help would be appreciated. trueblue reports that the reorganization of Clothing is close to completion, and mollybdenum maintains a work-in-progress status on Public Speaking. Both Clothing and Public Speaking needed a lot of work, and the teams working in these areas need to be commended.
