by don21a at 2007-12-10 16:03:31
2.1   Q: What do the abbreviations such as "C1" stand for?
A: C1 stands for Creatures 1, the original Creatures game. Similarly, C2 is Creatures 2, C3 is Creatures 3, CP is Creatures Playground, CA stands for Creatures Adventures and CV is Creatures Village. DS is Docking Station, and CGBA is the Creatures game released on the Game Boy Advance.

2.2   Q: What are COBs and agents?
A: A COB is short for Creatures object. These are new addons you can download for your Creatures games, such as new toys, small animals, food, plants or vending machines. They can be created by the maker's of Creatures, Creature Labs, or by third party developers. An agent is a form of COB for the later C3, DS or CV games.

2.3   Q: What are Norns, Ettins and Grendels?
A: A Norn is the primary species available to interact with in Creatures. They are an intelligent species with the ability to learn from the user. Ettins are a small but cutely mischievous species who steal anything they can pick up. Grendels on the other hand are dangerous creatures, often considered to be evil.
by don21a at 2007-12-10 16:06:41
2.4   Q: What is a breed?
A: It is possible to download and install up 26 different breeds of Norn, of Grendel and of Ettin within the Creatures games, each with a unique look and personality. The exception to this is Creatures 1 which only supported ten breeds per species.
by don21a at 2007-12-10 16:09:21
2.5   Q: What are meta-rooms?
A: Since Creatures 1 and Creatures 2 are both set on the planet of Albia, you can download and add new 'worlds' to the games. Creatures 3 and Docking Station however are set on the Shee space ship so it was logical that these games would support the addition of new 'rooms' for download, known as 'meta-rooms'.
