Ashtanga, or Power Yoga, is a system of Hatha Yoga developed by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. It is distinguished by a very active, physical practice of the asanas, and is taught world-wide.

Like most forms of Yoga, this system is based on eight-limbed ("ash-tanga") path described by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras, but should not be confused with the Astanga Yoga that is a branch of Raja Yoga.

Integral Yoga attempts to unite the traditional forms of yoga into a coherent synthesis. The yogas of knowledge, action and love are brought together in order to effectuate a self-integration of the individual in relation to body, mind, and soul. The development of personality is a process particularly important to Integral Yoga as a means to bring about meaningful and adequate responses to nature and society. The practice of Integral Yoga seeks to provide the foundations for harmonious and creative living in the world.
