The St. Helena A.V.A. borders are not the same as those of the town of Saint Helena, although there is considerable overlap. For example, wineries in the town of Saint Helena may actually be located in the Spring Mountain District A.V.A. or in the Howell Mountain A.V.A.

The Yountville A.V.A. is located in the central part of the Napa Valley A.V.A.. It is bordered on the north by the Oakville A.V.A., on the east by the Stags Leap District A.V.A., and on the west by the Mt. Veeder A.V.A. The Oak Knoll District (a proposed A.V.A.) borders Yountville to the south.

The Yountville A.V.A. borders are not the same as those of the town of Yountville, although there is considerable overlap. For example, wineries with a Yountville address may actually be located in the Stags Leap District A.V.A. or in the Mt. Veeder A.V.A.
