Online Communities are sites where people with similar interests can communicate with each other, learn, and contribute. Contribution is the defining factor of an online community.

Sites in this category must be strictly for teens. They must be sites where young people can interact with each other and "leave their mark" on the site. Sites that offer clubs, give kids a chance to write reviews, and sites that offer free home pages are good examples of online communities. However, just offering one of these things doesn't make a site a community. Sites for this category will be carefully screened and must meet the criteria of a community.

Please submit sites that are strictly for teens. All submitted sites should provide a place for young people to interact with each other and "leave their mark" on the site. Sites that are strictly for kids or for kids and teens should be submitted to Kids_and_Teens/People_and_Society/Online_Communities/.

No site is guaranteed placement in the Open Directory. Any site still under construction, submitted to multiple inappropriate categories, using multiple URLs for multiple submissions, or consisting primarily of affiliate links to products will be deleted.
