Sites should have cheats and/or hints for multiple games in the series.
There is currently no description created for this category.
This category is for clans that cover multiple versions and types of play. If a clan is specific to one version of Quake, on type of gameplay, or one specific mod, please submit to a more specific category if it is available.
A clan is a group of players that have formed a sort of team. They often play together, helping each other to improve. Clans often compete against each other, whether informally, as an impromptu match, or in organized leagues and tournaments. Some clans are open and always looking for new players, others require you to be invited from a member. Clan members often put a "tag" in their player name, with a combination of symbols and letters, to indicate which clan they are a part of. These are clans focusing on the Quake series of games, and resources relating to clans and clan events.

Sites submitted here should have Modifications for the whole Quake Series, not just one game. If the site only has modifications for one game, it should be submitted in the Modifications and Add-Ons category for that game.
Modifications and Add-Ons for the Quake series.
Submissions should have their main content directed toward Quake, and not either of the sequels. (Those go in the categories for Quake II or Quake 3 Arena). Please make sure your site does not belong in one of the subcategories before submitting it here.
Quake, released in 1996, was one of the first games to really have internet play as a substantial part of it. From the demo release, there was far more internet play, then single player play. It also had a big effect when id Software released "QuakeC", the code that actually determined the gameplay itself, and gave players the means to edit this code, and change the way the game played. It gave way to a large number of "mods", modifications as to how it's played, and the goal. There is still a substantial crowd of people playing Quake over the internet.
Websites dealing primarily with Quake 4 can be submitted to this category.

Following these guidelines will allow us to add your site to the directory as quickly as possible.

  • Use your site''s actual title.
  • Create a brief description, under 25 words, listing the current content of your site (not the future content).
  • Do not use first person verbiage (we, our, us).
  • Do not use marketing verbiage. (We''re the best!, Most awesome site, Check it Out!)
  • Avoid using terms such as much more, lots, more, or anything else that would indicate that there is more to your site than what is in the description. Take the time to list out what the site has instead of using these terms.
  • Your description should resemble descriptions of sites already listed in the category.

Id software's ground-breaking 3D First person shooter.
The third installment in the Quake series, Quake III Arena was built from the ground up with multiplayer action in mind. The single player mode is even a series of deathmatch-style challenges against computer-controlled players (bots). It includes a variety of game types, allowing straight deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, and a tournament mode, consisting of players taking turns going 1 on 1 against the last round's victor. It also allows the players to modify the game models, player skins, maps, and even the way the game plays, for a large amount of flexibility and conversions for the game.
Please submit sites related to the Quake Live game here.
