Born c.1959 in County Meath, Ireland. Television work includes "Father Ted", "Hippies", "Big Train" and "Paris". Published works include " Well Remembered Days: Eoin O'Cellaigh's Memoirs of a Twentieth-century Irish Catholic ". Winner of BAFTA awards for "Best Comedy (Programme or Series)" in 1996 and 1999 ("Father Ted"). Also received a 1997 Writers' Guild of Great Britain award for his contribution to "Harry Enfield and Chums".
