Walt Kelly, 1913 - 1973, was an American cartoonist best known for his daily newspaper comic strip, "Pogo." He learned his craft as an animator at the Walt Disney Studios, where he worked from 1935 to 1941. The strip Pogo was launched in 1949 and ran until Kelly's death.
Bernard Kliban (1935-1990), American cartoonist who created bizarre single-panel cartoons, many of which were published in Playboy. However, Kliban is best known as the creator of the cat characters from his book Cat, which became a successful series of calendars and other products.
American cartoonist, creator of whimsical minimalist stories about his elf-like character Magic Boy, as well as autobiographical slice-of-life stories in The Sketchbook Diaries. Kochalka also performs in the band James Kochalka Superstar.
