R. Buckminster Fuller was one of the visionaries of the twentieth century. With tensegrity structures, dymaxion houses and cars, Fuller projection maps, and the geodesic dome, he found new ways to look at old problems. This category is an investigation of not only Fuller's architecture, but of the full range of design ideas that occupied his productive life.
Please submit biographies, descriptions of his inventions, reviews of his books, and photographs. Academic papers, course materials, and study guides are welcome. This category covers Fuller''s design ideas in all fields except the social sciences. Fuller was an important proponent of the Spaceship Earth concept, but much of this work is beyond the scope of this category and will be found in other categories of the ODP.
