Life-saving clubs and water-polo clubs should submit here only if they engage in competitive swimming; otherwise submit to Sports: Water_Sports: Surf_Life_Saving: Clubs or Sports: Water_Sports: Water_Polo: Clubs: United_Kingdom. Leagues and County Associations should be submitted to Sports: Water_Sports: Swimming_and_Diving: Organizations: Europe: United_Kingdom.

It is usually appropriate for clubs to have a second entry in the appropriate sub-category in the Regional branch for England. This will usually be a Recreation and Sports category within a Town category.

Swimming Schools should submit only to the appropriate Regional category as above.

Many users of the directory will not be familiar with English geography. You should briefly note the location of the club: naming the town (unless it is part of the site title) and county is usually sufficient.

It is helpful to mention the fact if your club includes a section for Masters swimming, synchronised swimming or other speciality not catered for by the majority of swimming clubs. Likewise mention if you take non-swimmers and teach basic stroke techniques.

If your club is known locally by initials you should include these in brackets after the site title unless they are mentioned elsewhere in the title or description.
