Drifting is a fast growing form of motorsport founded by the Japanese. The professional series is called D1GP, founded by the "Drift King" Keichi Tsuchiya. The main idea of the sport is to slide the car through a series of judged corners on a race track. Three judges rate the car's speed, drift angle and the racing line of each performance. The amount of smoke generated by the spinning tires and other visual details are involved in the rating, too.
