The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, or NAIA, is the national governing body for approximately 350 small-college athletics programs in the United States. Based in Tulsa Oklahoma, the NAIA conducts 23 national championships as well as overseeing eligibility, statistics, ratings, national records and honors.

The American Mideast Conference is an affiliate of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics that includes 16 member institutions in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. Founded in 1949, it was known as the Mid-Ohio Conference until 1998 when it adopted its current moniker. The name change was the first step in a multi-phase expansion that extended the conference into states beyond Ohio.
The AMC offers championships in the following sports:
Women: cross-country, soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, golf, tennis, track and field
Men: cross-country, soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, track and field
The purpose of the American Midwest Conference is to promote the positive ideals and objectives of athletics, to provide an organization of colleges and universities with similar foundations to engage in athletic contests on an equal basis, to serve as a forum to formulate and solve common problems, to enhance and preserve athletics in their true perspective and to promote athletics in an academic environment. The AMC is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
The Appalachian Athletic Conference is an ten member conference sanctioned by the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics). The AAC participates in Division II in men's and women's basketball.
The Chicagoland Collegate Athletic Conference consists of 15 members as an affiliated conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Association. In many sports, they are structured as part of the Region VII of the NAIA while in some sports the conference champion qualifies directly for national competition. The CCAC sanctions play in five men's sports which are soccer, cross country, basketball division I, basketball division II, and baseball. There are six sanctioned women's sports which are soccer, volleyball, cross country, basketball division I, basketball division II, and softball. In all sports, it sanctions regular season league play as well as a post-season tourney. It is the only conference in the NAIA nationally to be affiliated in both divisions of men's and women's basketball.

The teams of the Mid-Central College Conference are the Bethel College Pilots, Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats, Goshen College Maple Leafs, Marian College Knights, Grace College Lancers, Taylor University Trojans, Huntington College Foresters and the University of St. Francis Cougars.
On April 24, 1995, the presidents of member schools gathered in Nashville, Tenn., to form a conference for all sports, effectively merging the athletic pursuits of similar institutions in three states. The new Mid-South Conference was unique in its broad-based athletic competition for men and women, offering 15 championships.The conference requires schools to field teams in the sports of baseball, basketball and football for men, and basketball, softball, tennis and volleyball for women. Championships are offered in sports with at least five member teams competing. Championships are offered in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, football, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, cheerleading and volleyball.
Sites and categories for schools which compete in the MCAC.The members of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference are Avila College, Bartlesville Wesleyan College, Bellevue University, College of the Ozarks, College of Saint Mary, Newman University, Saint Mary College, and York College.
The TransSouth Athletic Conference was previously called the Tennessee Collegiate Athletic Conference. Member institutions include: Berry College, Blue Mountain College, Freed-Hardeman University, Lee University, Lyon College, Martin Methodist College, Trevecca Nazarene University and Union University.
The Conference's six charter members were, Aquinas College, Concordia College, Cornerstone University, Siena Heights University, Spring Arbor College, and Tri-State University. Madonna University joined the conference in 1997, with Indiana Institute of Technology joining a year later in 1998.In its years the WHAC has become well respected not only regionally, but nationally. Conference schools have secured National Championships in several sports, both in the NAIA and the NCCAA
