This category is for Single-A level professional minor league baseball, both full season and short season leagues.
The current incarnation of the California League started as a Class C league in 1946. In 1963 the CalLeague became a Class A league.
The current incarnation of the Carolina League started as a Class C league in 1945. From 1949 to 1962, the CL was a Class B league, then became a Class A league in 1963.
The current incarnation of the Florida State League started as a Class D league in 1946. In 1963 the FSL became a Class A league.
The fifth incarnation of the South Atlantic League has been a Class A league since its founding in 1980. Also known as the Sally League.
