The band "Daniel Amos" is named for the two books of the Bible; it is not a person's name. The Orange County, California band has also released several albums under the pseudonym "The Swirling Eddies" and (during the 1980's) under the shortened name "DA". Frontman Terry Scott Taylor has worked solo and with side projects "The Lost Dogs" and "The Farm Beetles".
