Top: Society: Religion_and_Spirituality: Christianity: Computers

This category is for sites which help people to use computers in the service of Christ. It will include Christian graphics, software, web master resources, online communities, internet services, and web evangelism.

Graphics

Submissions to this area should be sites with free original graphics which are Christian in nature.

Christian graphics for sale should be listed at Society: Religion and Spirituality: Christianity: Shopping.

Christian web designers with sites offering their services should submit to Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Businesses/Web_Services/Design.

This category lists sites which contain free Christian graphics to be used in a computer applications such as a web page or other document. It also lists directories of such sites.

It will not list a site just because it contains Christian graphics. For example, if the graphics are there to illustrate a poem, then the site should be classified under poetry not graphics. If the graphics illustrate art for sale, then the site should be classified under art or shopping, not graphics.

Some sites offer graphics for use in web pages, and offer the same artwork for sale on mugs, t-shirts, and other items. As long as the graphics are also available for free computer use, the site can be listed here.

Websites with original graphics are what is sought here. Not pages of graphics taken from other sites.

Online Communities

Please submit church web sites through the links in the most specific related church or denominational category.

Do not submit sites for

  • Churches
  • Ministries
  • General Christian subjects

into this category; only sites pertaining to intentional societies of Christians whose principal meeting point is the internet will be accepted.

Christian Communities have developed over the years from that of the disciples to monasteries and now includes various groups of people with a common mission. Each group's focus may differ widely from another. Some focus on prayer, others on political activism, and still others on helping a particular group of people. The internet enables communities to be much wider than was once possible; online communities exist in parallel to church and other groups.

Weblogs

Please submit sites which focus on the Christian faith either in or in one of the subcategories, depending on the focus of the site.

Weblogs by Christians which do not focus on faith related items should be submitted to the more general category at Computers/Internet/On_the_Web/Weblogs/Personal.

Weblogs about Christianity, the Christian faith, or related to the faith in some way.

Webmaster Resources

Although we do list some sites which are content providers here, the emphasis in this category is on the technical aspects of designing a Christian website whether it be a simple church site or a flashy evangelistic one.

Sites which assist Christians in evangelizing via the web should be sent to /Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Evangelism/Web_Evangelism.

Sites which enable people to build Christian websites by providing them with free resources.
