1   Submission Questions
1.1   Q: How should I submit my website to the Wedding categories?
A: A. Find a category where the sites most similar to yours are listed. Choose only one category under Weddings. Do not submit a site to the main Weddings category unless you can find absolutely no appropriate category (in which case we will create a new one for you).

B. Select "Suggest URL".

C. If your website is to promote your business, enter your business name under Title of Site. Otherwise, enter your website title.

D. Enter a brief, concise, neutral description of your site mentioning the features of most use to the visitor. In the Wedding categories, expect most users to be brides and grooms. Please do not include sales talk or opinions.

E. If you are a regional business, include your location in the description.

1.2   Q: Can I submit my homepage under more than one Wedding category?
A: Please don't. If your website covers a broad ground, for instance if some pages are about photography and others are about flowers, you can submit indivdual pages to the appropriate category. Please limit this to one per category and be careful only to submit pages with valuable original content or they will not be accepted and it could be construed as SPAM.

1.3   Q: My competitors have more coverage than I do. How can I get extra listings or get their extra listings deleted for fairness?
A: The nature of ODP does not allow us to promise equal and fair coverage to all websites. Inclusion may be based on usefullness, quality, category appropriateness, or other factors and is ultimately the decision of the editor. If you would like a greater coverage of your website under the Wedding sections, the best thing is to provide a wide variety of unique and usefull information throughout your site and submit individual pages to appropriate categories with helpful descriptions. The editors can not guarantee inclusion to any website but it is our general practice at ODP that quality webpages will be included when submitted. Individual editor policies may vary.

1.4   Q: To what category should I submit my website?
A: Find a category with sites simliar to yours. Please take the time to look around the directory. The category may not be in the Society section, as some wedding-related sites are under Arts, Business, Shopping or Recreation. Cross-referencing links should take you to the correct category. You can also use search. Once you find a category with other websites like yours, submit your URL.

2   Editing Questions
2.1   Q: What websites belong in this category?
A: None. If there is no appropriate subcategory existing please create one. For ezines, directories and other general wedding sites, Directories and Guides is usually the correct category.

2.2   Q: Are there any general guidelines for the Wedding Categories?
A: Here are some: Try to keep commercial pages separate from advice pages, but feel free to accept an advice page that is part of a commercial site. Use the company name as the title. Keep descriptions brief and free of sales talk, repetition, and avoid opinions. Watch out for multiple submissions and inappropriate categories; always move a site to the most appropriate category before accepting and delete redundant submissions.
