Argyll, John Douglas Sutherland Campbell, Duke of

Sites related to John George Edward Henry Douglas Sutherland Campbell (1845-1914), 9th Duke of Argyll. He was born in London, England, and died on the Isle of Wight. He was married to Princess Louise Saxe-Coburg, Queen Victoria's fourth daughter. He was the fourth Governor General of Canada, and twice a Member of Parliament. A patron of the arts, he was himself a poet and an author of travel books.
