The Algonquin (some communities use the spelling Algonkin) are a First Nation people of Canada. The Acjachemem or Acjachemen are more commonly known as the Juaneno, or Mission Indians. They live in Southern California.
The Alabama Indians and one branch of the Coushatta (Koasati) Indians, displaced to Texas, have banded together as the Alabama-Coushatta tribe.

There are about 8000 Algonquin in Canada, organized into nine nations in Quebec and one in Ontario.
The Alutiiq are culturally similar to the Aleuts, with whom they are often confused/conflated. Their language is much more like Yupik, however, and they consider themselves distinct from the Aleut.
