Anchors

Please submit only sites selling boat anchors. The definition of a boat anchor is: a deployable mooring device used to hold a drifting floating vessel relative to the land. Sea anchors (parachutes and drogues) should be submitted to Shopping: Vehicles: Watercraft: Parts and Accessories: Safety Equipment.

Boat and ship anchors of all types and sizes, including regular seabed portable types, mooring anchors, rock anchors, and beach anchors. Does not include sea anchors.

Covers and Tops

Guidelines for submitting sites:

  • The title should be the name of your company or organization or site.
    • Do not type in all caps
    • Do not include a list of keywords
    • Do not include a list of your products
    • Do not write a sales pitch.

  • The description should be a brief summary of your site's contents or topics.
    • The description should be in english and in coherent sentence form.
    • Do not include superlatives or a sales pitch.
    • Do not submit your company history.
    • Do not submit a list of keywords.
    • Do not use unnecessary capitalization, or include HTML tags.

  • Submit to only ONE category
    • Submit to the best category possible. If you cannot find the proper category in Recreation: Boating, first look elsewhere in the ODP. If you still cannot locate an appropriate category, submit the site to the best category possible.

    Sites that do not sell boats or boating parts and supplies online should be submitted to the proper location in Regional. Such regionally commercial sites will NOT be listed anywhere in Recreation:Boating.

    If your site is selling boating parts and supplies online, please submit your site to the proper subcategory of Shopping/Vehicles/Watercraft/Parts_and_Accessories.

    Manufacturer sites that don't offer direct sales of products should be submitted to appropriate subcategories of Business:Industries:Manufacturing:Water Craft.

    Non-English sites should be submitted to the proper language in World. Non-English sites will NOT be listed here.

    Electronics

    Please submit only radios for communication, entertainment radios, stereos, radars, depth sounders, logs, navigation receivers and weather instruments. Electrical power equipment, batteries, chargers, air conditioning and refrigeration should be submitted under Shopping/Watercraft/Parts and Accessories.

    Marine electronics for watercraft use.

    Letters and Graphics

    Submit sites that specialize specifically in supplying letters and graphics for watercraft to this category.

    Site must have prices listed so that a potential customer can view items and make shopping decisions immediately if they chose to do so.

    If site does not meet the criteria or is not shopping enabled, please submit to a Business category. Most likely, the Signage/Vinyl/ would be the best alternative.

    Sites that market to general lettering and graphics, please submit to a better suited category.

    Sites that specialize specifically in supplying online, by fax or mail order, letters and graphics for watercraft.
