As well as sites relating to graph-plotting software, those relating to software which provides other assistance in relation to graphing (such as digitizing graphs, or producing graph paper) may be suggested for listing here.

If there is an appropriate sub-category of Science/Math/Software/Graphing for your site, please submit your site there instead.

For software relating to the 'vertices and arcs' type of graph, please see under Combinatorics Software.

Software for assisting in the plotting of graphs (in the statistical data / function sense).

MATLAB

Submit here webpages that explain and illustrate how to use MATLAB.

Sites that cover more than one math software program should be submitted to the Math Software category.

MATLAB (short for MATrix LABoratory) was invented by Cleve Moler in the 1970's and was upgraded and is now sold by The Mathworks company.

The program performs plotting of functions, matrix manipulations. The software also has an extra option to interface with the Maple software to allow for simplification of easy to complex math functions.

MuPAD

An open computer algebra system for symbolic and numerical computations.

Octave

GNU Octave is a high-level language, primarily intended for numerical computations. It provides a convenient command line interface for solving linear and nonlinear problems numerically, and for performing other numerical experiments using a language that is mostly compatible with Matlab. It may also be used as a batch-oriented language.
