The eastern region of Washington State covers all the territory between the Columbia River and the Idaho border. It includes Douglas, Grant, Franklin, Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield, Asotin, Whitman, Adams, Lincoln, Spokane, Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties.
The most northwest corner of the continental 48 states, Washington's Northwest Quadrant encompasses the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas, the Puget Sound, and the San Juan Islands. Dipping its southern tip in is British Columbia's Vancouver Island.
Favorite places to visit in this area include the Olympic National Rainforest, Mt. Rainier National Park, and the city of Seattle. Also found here is the Washington State capital Olympia.

This Region primarily covers Clark, Cowlitz, Lewis, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum Counties. Some sites may overlap to the southern end of Washington's Northwest Region (Grays Harbor, Pierce, and Thurston counties) as well.
North Central Washington covers the eastern slope of the Cascades to the Columbia Basin. Generally, it covers Okanogan, Douglas, and Chelan counties, with the main population centered around the city of Wenatchee.
