So I split up Essex and Essex Junction, don't have a cow. They are pretty separate anyway, and one of these days they probably will vote to be separate cities.

Essex Junction is a village located in Chittenden County, Vermont. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 8,591. It is famous for being the home of Trey Anastasio of the band Phish. Essex Junction is home to the Champlain Valley Exposition which hosts the Champlain Valley Fair at the end of each summer. Amtrak, the national passenger rail system, provides daily service to Essex Junction, which serves as a focal point for rail travel in the greater Burlington area, which includes Essex and Winooski.
