East Tennessee offers plenty of the usual hotels and motels. These are concentrated in Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. For more regional flavor, try cabins at one of the many state parks, or a bed and breakfast. Resorts often have motel-like accommodation. The state parks also offer camping, of course, but the Lenoir City "Crosseyed Cricket" is somewhat unique. You can fish, are guaranteed to catch one, and someone will take care of all the messy baiting and cooking.
