The Town of Southern Pines operates under the Council - Manager form of Government. The Town Council is elected by the registered voters of the Town, with the Mayor being elected separately. The four Council members and Mayor who are elected at large by the Town as a whole serve terms of two years. The Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building. It also holds an agenda and workshop meeting each month.
